The State of Affairs
Our latest CD (No More Blues)
has been available for some time now and is selling nicely. While the previous, very successful
album (Count To Ten) was all about swing, we turned to latin this time.
Needless to say, playing live music continues to be an important
part of what we do. We have been developing a new program and will
present it at several gigs in the summer of 2010. The new program is
all about European Jazz, and if you are not sure where the cucumber comes
in, check out the gig list.
It tells you where you'll be able to meet us in the coming months.
It is a good idea to keep watching this page as we'll be adding more gigs soon.
If you speak German, the blog helps you to stay
on top of what's going on in the band: Whether it's
reports about our gigs, stories from the band
or news:
This is your chance to find out more about us, and you can subscribe to
be notified of any changes.
The Band
The SAP BIG BAND was founded in 1996 by employees of SAP.
More than ten years later, the majority of the active members are SAP employees,
and the rehearsals as well as the yearly employee
concerts take place at the SAP headquarters in Walldorf. The band is actively supported by
musicians from the Walldorf region. All musicians are amateurs who dedicate their spare time to
jazz music. The band looks back on a number of exciting gigs in Germany and other countries.
